Warped Dreams #24Heroes in fantasy novels go into the woods and spend days, sometimes weeks without bathing, yet in spite of this rather obvious handicap, fair maidens seem to find them irresistible. I'd love to see the hero rescue the princess, only to find she can't stand the odor, so she orders him to take a shower. Or, after the hero and heroine kiss, I'd love to hear her say, "that would have been a lot better, if you'd remembered to pack a toothbrush." If you're a wizard, you could make a fortune with a breath mint or deodorant spell. Why don't everything have to be a fireball? Hmmmm, I feel a new novel coming. |
